One of the best elements about the holidays is the downtime you get to spend with your friends and family. So I felt like this was a perfect time to have a girls day with my cousins, who I adore. I teamed up with beauty blogger, Elise from beauty on the brain for her amazing skills to beautify us! It was a day filled with fun, makeup, spiced cider, and of course a photo shoot to document it! Im lucky to have such talented, beautiful, and hilarious girls in my family.
To get all of our 5 minute faces, head over to beauty on the brain for some stellar tips! She used some amazing shades of lipstick, and you will notice an awesome green eyeliner!
And now for our hot spiced cider that was so yummy, and smelled divine while cooking.
Just in case you have gotten bored of hot chocolate, here is the recipe for this!
Hot Spiced Cider
3 c. apricot nectar
2 c. orange juice
1 c. water
2 T. lime juice
1/4 c. plus 2 T. brown sugar
6″ stick of cinnamon
1/2 tsp. whole cloves
In a large saucepan combine the first 5 ingredients. Tie the cinnamon and cloves in a cheese cloth bag and add to juice mixture. (I didn’t do this, and it was still great!) Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 15 min. Discard spice bag and serve hot.
Happy Holidays you lovely people!
